One of the benefits of Zamak (also called zinc) die casting is that it is easier to cast more detailed parts than with aluminium die casted parts. It offers several surface finishing options and is easy to polish and grind. Zamak has lower operating temperatures then aluminum die cast alloys. It retains high dimensional stability with thin walls and can be used in all industries.
In general the well known Zamak 3 alloy is used for die casting, but also Zamak 5 is one of the standards we know.
